The M.A.M.A Art Project Mission Statement

To embrace and cherish the gift of motherhood through art and mentorship.

For the experienced mom:

This is an opportunity to be with other moms and share your birth stories, mommy moments and advice. When we open our mouths and share our wisdom, that wisdom gets reinforced within ourselves. When we open our hearts and embrace the love we have for our children, that love grows. When we reach out to aid other moms, our community grows, strengthens and expands.

We all know those moments when we are present to the miracle of motherhood. This workshop is designed to have us all experience that in a deeper, more powerful way. By channeling all of our love, our caring, the deep nurturing side in all of us, into a piece of art, you will have something to forever remind you of the magic of motherhood.

For the soon to be young mother:

This is an opportunity for you to create what this experience will be for you. The birth of your child can be shaped by fear, stereotypes, worries and concerns. Or this can be the most sacred, beautiful time of your life. Who you become as a mom is your choice. This workshop will give you the opportunity to design and create your birth experience and how you want to welcome your child into the world. You will also get to ask questions of some really great, experienced moms. You only become a mother once and we want to help you celebrate that moment and cherish it forever.

Who we are as moms makes a difference in the world. How we raise our children matters. We have a say! This day is designed to be a celebration of that.
