		<description>Oh, Maida, how rough.  I think just take the boys questions as they come and leave it at that.  When the time comes, they&#039;ll have more questions and sadness, but for now let them process it on the day-to-day level.  

It is so hard to lose someone you love... how are Doug and his sister holding up with it all?</description>

		<description>With Manny it was so sudden it was a little easier.  I don&#039;t think Kim ever took the kids to the hospital to see him.  But after the first week&#039;s chaos of good news, bad news, worse news, I made it clear to them that Manny wasn&#039;t coming back.  And they handled the funeral fine.  

Manny wasn&#039;t as much of a grandpa, but he was a constant part of the family, so it was different.  I think the biggest thing is to be honest with them, as much as you can bear.  And I think most importantly share with them how you and Doug feel.  Because that way they know why you are sad all the time, that it is not something they did.  At their age it will not be as big a blow to them, it will all be memories.</description>
