Hello I am a mother of for and am looking to do a half marathon. I have 12 weeks till the race my family is very discouraging saying that I should not do it. I am very determined to do this and was just seeking some advice from a mother that has ran one. I also saw that you have the Nike + I just purchased that today and am so excited to use it.
    Thanks

I guess it depends on how much mileage you have done until now. I wouldn’t recommend going for a half marathon in 12 weeks off the couch. But if you have already been running 4-5 miles consistently for more than 6 months, then you can definitely train for a half marathon in 12 weeks. I’m not saying you won’t be sore, but you can do it without injury. The Nike+ is a fantastic tool for training! And the Runner’s World online training calendar (SmartCoach) is really great for planning workouts up to 16 weeks in advance.
