The West Side Moms have adopted a local Colorado Springs for the holidays…

A single mom with 5 kids, whose uncle took them in.  She’s trying to start her own cooking business.  She has 3 boys (6, 5, 4 years old) and twin girls (2 years old).

Family Personal Story:
This family is very poor and father left mother with out any information on his where abouts. Mother is not homeless because an uncle took her in. She is working from home cooking for people in the area. She can use the pots and pans for her own business. Mother did not want to let me know what toys to buy because she really needs clothing for the children, so she ask me to emphasize on that. Mother did not want anything for her, but I encouraged her to invest in her little business, so she can cook food faster. She is very happy to know that this program exist and there are people in the community that are willing to do this for a stranger. Thank you!

We are also going to make a holiday food basket for them for Thanksgiving, and another for Christmas.

They are willing to meet us, so some of us would attend the Family Celebration Meeting Night on Tuesday, December 11th at 6:30 p.m.
We would have punch and cookies with our adopted family and personally give them the gifts.
