We had company in town this weekend. I did great on Thursday night, but on Friday night we went to the Blue Star for dinner. I ate WAY too much food, drank 2 martinis and then indulged in their new Dessert Plate – a small portion of each of their desserts (except the sorbet). I think there were 6 desserts, including the Corleone. OMG! It was to die for.
I ran 3 times and climbed one time last week, and now I need to add one day of weight training… I should probably add T-Tapp before running. I miss that T-Tapp high…
On Friday, after my run, we went to the zoo. That was a good workout. And on Saturday morning, we walked around Red Rock Canyon with our guests.
The thing I’m struggling with now is my allergies. They have gotten really bad the past two days. Yesterday, as soon as I got out of the house, I had a bad attack – itchy eyes, stuffed up. By the evening I was totally fine (thanks to Allegra and a shower). Today, I was in the crawlspace, breaking out the fall clothes for the boys and getting their clothes bins organized, and I think there was just too much dust and mold down there, and I got hit again. I’m still feeling out of it, but at least I can breathe again. I sent Doug in there for the rest of the stuff I needed.
From my last doctor’s appt, we raised the dose of my thyroid medication and lowered the dose of my depression meds, so I’m in a bit of a transition spot. I also need to start the NAET allergy treatment with someone soon. I’d like to try it with Zander if possible.
I made a pact with May to lose 5 lbs in 5 weeks. If I even think about eating food after 9 PM, I have to email and let her know what I am going to eat. Also, she is my running partner, so we are going to run together 3 times per week and climb once a week. But, I’m not calorie counting. Just paying more attention to what and how much I put in my mouth.
